Hey everyone, today I’m going to introduce you to the newest member of my NARS Multiple family, meet Lamu! I hope you love pictures…
Lamu is a gorgeous apricot colour with gold glitter throughout. The combination of apricot and gold glitter makes me think instantly of how gorgeous this would look on tanned skin – this would be perfect for lazy summer days or nights – instant bronzed goddess! I guess I discovered Lamu at the perfect time since here in Australia it is now the last month of spring! Don’t get me wrong Lamu will work all year round if you wear whatever you like whenever you like showing those seasons who is boss!
I like Multiples mostly because they are like cream blush for beginners! Multiples come in a stick form and are creamy and wonderful when first applied, when you have finished blending the texture is like a powder feel! Lamu definitely isn’t for a sleek & polished look – it most likely isn’t going to fit into your everyday office attire. Lamu brings not only super glowing apricot, but also a HEAP of glitter! Somehow the glitter fits in well and doesn’t emphasise your imperfections – in saying that I don’t think that Multiples are intended to be used anywhere that fine lines or wrinkles are involved!
Another thing I LOVE about multiples is the lack of fragrance – yay!
I apply Lamu by swirling my index finger on the top until I have enough product, next I swipe in an upwards motion where I would normally use blush (I usually do 3 swipes) and blend! For multiples with glitter or when I’m not wearing foundation I simply blend with my fingers!
I compared Lamu with another NARS Multiple, a best seller in Australia, Puerto Vallarta. Although they could be put into the same colour category, they really aren’t similar! Puerto Vallarta is a lot more intense, colour wise. It has a much stronger pigment! The biggest difference between the two is Lamu is packed with glitter and Puerto Vallarta has a gorgeous glow suitable for day or night!
Overall I think that this won’t be my least used multiple! I can’t wait to get stuck into this on lazy makeup days; by now it shouldn’t surprise you how much I love NARS Multiples!
Hey everyone! Last month for my birthday I got a new NARS Multiple. I would say that The Multiple by NARS is one of my favourite beauty products of all time! Riviera is the third (and definitely not my last) Multiple that I now own.
NARS describes Riviera as a true pink. The colour definitely leans a little peach but it is a gorgeous shade. The best thing about Riviera is that it is the most natural looking cheek product that I have ever used. When I asked my boyfriend how it looked he asked “how does what look?” He really couldn’t tell I was wearing Riviera!
NARS Multiples are a huge 14g size. They contain 2g more than an original Benefit Boxed Powder which most will know is a pretty generous amount.
(Excuse my pale face!)
I found that Riviera has a totally different texture to Puerto Vallarta and Angelika, the texture is lighter and thinner. When I apply Angelika it is an extremely pigmented and feels almost like a mousse, Puerto Vallarta the same! Riviera is definitely more shimmery, I would describe it as a frosted finish.
Riviera is a beautiful addition to my collection and I love using it on the days when I wear less makeup, it makes me even more excited to try more Multiples!
Every woman has her favourite products and a lot of the time a NARS product will be on that list. I love reading product reviews and NARS blushes are often rated pretty high! A product that has always visually appealed to me are the Multiples. Over time I have read some seriously mixed reviews about the Multiple, extremely bad, extremely good and everywhere in between. So what do I do in this kind of situation? I buy one, of course!
In case you haven’t encountered a NARS Multiple, they are a multipurpose product that can be used anywhere, specifically cheeks, eyes & lips. I currently own two Multiples (hopefully three after my birthday) and they are in my top ten products, definitely.
The two Multiples that I own are Puerto Vallarta & Angelika. Puerto Vallarta is a new shade and was realeased for Summer 2013. Angelika was a part of the Tainted Love set and also comes in blush and lipgloss form, Angelika is quite popular in powder blush form! Both of my NARS Multiples have the same texture, they have a creamy mousse feel that dries to a powder finish.
Unlike the Angelika powder blush and gloss, the Angelika Multiple has iridescent shimmers, the traditional Angelika has silver shimmers. NARS did a fantastic job at keeping the colour, though. All of my Angelikas are the same shade and beautifully pigmented! Puerto Vallarta has gold shimmers and is more frosty than Angelika, I can’t wait to wear it with a bronze summer look! The multiples last about 6 hours on me a bit more some days a bit less some days, depending on other products I use as well.
I think Puerto Vallarta will be amazing in Spring and Summer! I just couldn’t resist the Multiple, I love everything about them. They can be worn sheer or built up, they can be worn on the lips although they’re a but giant for a lipstick! I am pro Multiple and I prefer a dewy finish foundation so these work for me! I think all you can do is make your own opinion when it comes to whether you’re going to like something or not which I’m SO glad I figured out! xx Amanda
