NARS Multiple Review & Swatches – Puerto Vallarta & Angelika

image

image

Every woman has her favourite products and a lot of the time a NARS product will be on that list. I love reading product reviews and NARS blushes are often rated pretty high! A product that has always visually appealed to me are the Multiples. Over time I have read some seriously mixed reviews about the Multiple, extremely bad, extremely good and everywhere in between. So what do I do in this kind of situation? I buy one, of course!

image

In case you haven’t encountered a NARS Multiple, they are a multipurpose product that can be used anywhere, specifically cheeks, eyes & lips. I currently own two Multiples (hopefully three after my birthday) and they are in my top ten products, definitely.

image

image

The two Multiples that I own are Puerto Vallarta & Angelika. Puerto Vallarta is a new shade and was realeased for Summer 2013. Angelika was a part of the Tainted Love set and also comes in blush and lipgloss form, Angelika is quite popular in powder blush form! Both of my NARS Multiples have the same texture, they have a creamy mousse feel that dries to a powder finish.

image

image

Unlike the Angelika powder blush and gloss, the Angelika Multiple has iridescent shimmers, the traditional Angelika has silver shimmers. NARS did a fantastic job at keeping the colour, though. All of my Angelikas are the same shade and beautifully pigmented! Puerto Vallarta has gold shimmers and is more frosty than Angelika, I can’t wait to wear it with a bronze summer look! The multiples last about 6 hours on me a bit more some days a bit less some days, depending on other products I use as well.

I think Puerto Vallarta will be amazing in Spring and Summer! I just couldn’t resist the Multiple, I love everything about them. They can be worn sheer or built up, they can be worn on the lips although they’re a but giant for a lipstick! I am pro Multiple and I prefer a dewy finish foundation so these work for me! I think all you can do is make your own opinion when it comes to whether you’re going to like something or not which I’m SO glad I figured out! xx Amanda

My Australis Lipstick Swatches & Mini Review!

I don’t think it’s a secret that I kinda like lipstick, who doesn’t!? One of the brands in my lipstick collection is Australis. Australis as I have mentioned before is an Australian cruelty free makeup brand with everything from foundation to nail polish remover. Australis lipsticks have awesome packaging, sleek black tubes with pink writing. There is a sticker on the bottom of the tube stating the shade, the shades are obviously thought out and not some generic “red, pink, nude,” they are fun which is refreshing to see.

I own 6 Colour Inject Mineral Lipsticks, a Colour Inject Mineral Lipgloss and a Mint Condition Lipgloss. The lipsticks are all medium opacity but can be worn sheer or heavy to get the full colour payoff. The texture is creamy and not at all drying. I find these lipsticks last maybe 2 hours before they need to be built back up to full opacity. They smell like typical lipstick smell which is not good or bad. They are $12.95 not on sale but there is usually a sale at Priceline, bonus! The richer shades (tango & gangsta rap) stain the lips which I like because it means the colour lasts longer.

Tango – bright copper orange with gold shimmer through. Frost finish, leaves a light stain. I love this colour and I think it warms up my complexion.
Waltz – cool toned brown with gold shimmer, odd combination! This colour doesn’t work on my skin, I actually grabbed it by accident! It might work on a darker complexion.
Twist – basic nude with silver shimmer, also a frost finish. Love this lipstick with dewy skin!
Mambo – cool toned glossy nude, cream formula, my new favourite! This colour could work for pretty much anyone!
Lick The Icing – bright blue based pink, and I mean really blue based! Have never seen a “drugstore” lipstick like it! I love this shade, it works on all kinds of skin tone!
Gangsta Rap – medium purple, beautiful!! Can not say enough good things!
Happily Ever Laughter – peachy pink with shimmer, makes lips look huge which I love! Gives a tingly sensation. It’s a little bit thick though.
Lambada – creamy, milky baby pink. Smells like peach! Not thick or sticky, perfect formula! My favourite lipgloss!

I haven’t tried the other Australis lip products but I’m sure I will in the future! xx Amanda

Face Of The Day!

image

I thought I’d do a quick FOTD! My skin has been a bit dry lately so I gave my face a break! I just went with a moisturiser for my skin. I used my E.l.f Eyebrow kit, I could wear nothing but this and be happy! I’m not super sold on the Essence Get Big Mascara, it is super flakey and crumbly after a few hours which sucked.

image

I wore my extensions today and If you don’t already know, Snob by MAC is a commonly used lipstick in my life! I used my Revlon Just Bitten Kissale Balm Stain in Darling Cherie to gloss it out and tone it down a bit. This lip combo matched my dip dye which I thought was so cute!

My Lavender/Mauve Dip Dye Hair

Recently everybody has been crazy over the dip dye hair style. I kinda skipped it because my hair is pretty short (about an inch past my collarbone). I wear my clip in hair extensions fairly often and I figured why not! If it looked bad i could just not wear them, ya know! I trimmed the ends of my extensions first and straightened them to make the application easier.

image

I was previously a red head and still had some rinse out red hair dye, Hot Chilli by Fudge. This is more of a magenta than a red though! I started with a white conditioner, I used Sunsilk Longer and Stronger. I mixed Hot Chilli (pea sized amount) with the conditioner and then mixed in my Bleach Blondes shampoo (about a teaspoon) by Lee Stafford, Bleach Blondes has insane staining power!

I left the hair dye mixture in for about half an hour and rinsed in warm water. Once the extensions were dry, I straightened them and here’s the end result!

I absolutely love it! I think this dip dye is really cute and not just your typical pink or blue!xx Amanda

Birthday Wishlist

My birthday is just under two weeks away and every year I put together some kind of list for my boyfriend. The idea is I pick a list of things I would like for my birthday and he chooses some things from the list! Usually I tell my mum what I want most haha.

This list has been saved in Wordpad for a while but I thought I’d make it all pretty for my Blog!

list1

MAC Single Eyeshadow – Blanc Type $33 AUD
This is a really pretty base colour. I nearly bought it couple of weeks ago but didn’t, I don’t know why!

MAC Lipstick – Modesty, Pink Plaid & Snob $36 AUD
I only own 3 MAC lipsticks and Snob is one of them, my first actually! I’m nearly out so I thought having another will stop me from holding back on using it! Modesty & Pink Plaid are absolutely gorgeous too!

list2

Yves Saint Laurent Golden Gloss – Pebble $48 AUD
I think the Golden Glosses are absolutely beautiful, ever since I saw them I wanted one which was another problem, what shade?! I think this would be the perfect first YSL lip product to own. Pebble really stood out to me and that’s what I’m sticking with… Quick! Before I change my mind!

Stila Sun Bronzing Powder – Shade 2 $30.30 AUD
I have never found my HG bronzer, Nars Laguna is good… but not the best I feel. I have read quite a bit about this bronzer, almost every review said shade 1 was too orange but shade 2 was perfect, so shade 2 it is!

Nars The Multiple – Riviera $50.50 AUD
Nars Multiples are one of my favourite products. Ever. I have two but they seem so lonely…

Nars Ita Kabuki Artisan Brush $50.50 AUD
So beautiful, I have wanted this since I got the Yachiyo brush

Thanks for reading!

Avon Lipstick Review & Swatches!

So my last review post was on the Avon Ultra Colour Rich Brilliance Lipstick in Brilliant Ruby, I had so much good feedback that I decided to review the other 3 lipsticks I bought from Avon. Out of the other three lipsticks, two are also from the Ultra Colour Rich Brilliance range and the other is from the Ultra Colour Rich Mega Impact range.

image

My favourite thing about these lipsticks is that they are different to what I already have. They aren’t sheer but they aren’t opaque. I like how they are glittery but not frosty. Aurora Rose, Pink Paparazzi and Brilliant Ruby all have iridescent glitter through them, I assume the rest of the Ultra Colour Rich Brilliance Lipsticks have the same iridescent glitter too. Pink pop has glitter, but it isn’t iridescent it’s gold! Some people aren’t a fan of glitter lipsticks but I think the glitter in these lipsticks make your lips appear fuller and kind of juicy!

image

Can I just take a moment to appreciate the print on the lipstick, so pretty!

image

Aurora Rose is a deep, dusky pink. It definitely has brown undertones although it doesn’t look like it while looking at it in the tube.

image

Pink Paparazzi is a bright vivid pink with blue undertones. This colour looks pretty extreme in the tube.

image

Brilliant Ruby is a beautiful pink based bright red! I fully reviewed Brilliant Ruby in my last post!

image

Pink Pop is the most beautiful color, but I just don’t think I pull it off. This is Nars Orgasm in lpstick form. Beautiful!

image

These lipsticks are so beautiful, not like anything else I have. For ages I thought Avon for much older women but these colors are definitely not old at all! I’m so glad I picked the colors that I did. Besides Pink Paparazzi I don’t have colors like these, that’s why i chose a red and I’m so glad I did! Pink pop is so pretty, it would be perfect for a cream blush but I think the glitter is a bit too chunky! I got hold of these through my mum, if you know anyone who does Avon or if you get the catalogue, have a browse! They usually have some good bargains!

All of these opinions are my own, I am not sponsored or affiliated with Avon. These products were purchased with my own money!
